Dennis Mack – Banjo, Accordion, Trumpet, Cello

Dennis has over 30 years experience teaching music. He began his college education at Reedley College from 1966-1967. He then spent two more years studying music at Bethel College. In 1971 he completed his Bachelor of Arts in music education and teaching credential from Fresno State University.

Dennis’ first teaching position was at Dinuba Elementary and Washington Jr. High as the vocal music, and classroom music instructor from 1975-1980. From 1984-1986 Dennis served as the elementary strings instructor for Tulare City schools. He then spent a year as the band instructor for Tulare City schools from 1986-1987. Dennis spent the next three years from 1987-1990 as the band and classroom instructor at Sunnyside Elementary School and the band instructor at Strathmore High School. He then went on to teach music for various elementary schools in the Visalia district for the next 20 years, from 1990-2010. He then spent three years teaching music at University Prep High School from 2009-2012. In 2013 Dennis began teaching orchestra at Lemoore High School, were he continues to work today.

In addition to teaching music Dennis is also an avid performer. He has spent the last 35 years gigging as a freelance professional musician in various groups and as a solo artist. Dennis has also played bass in the Tulare County Symphony for the past 30 years. Dennis is well versed in many instruments and musical styles, and would be a wonderful teacher to anyone looking to learn.
